Fundraising and Marketing Intern (Madison)

Job Title: Fundraising and Marketing Intern
Location: Madison, WI 
Reports to: AIDS Network Development Staff

Responsibilities
The intern will work individually and receive direction from the Associate Director of Development and Director of Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contact and follow-up with potential donors for the Red Ribbon Affair Silent Auction. 
- Provide support to recruitment and promotional activities for ACT 13- the Wisconsin AIDS Ride.

Qualifications
- Interest in nonprofit management and fundraising
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe products, etc.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and possess strong time management skills
- Creativity, dependability and a positive attitude
- Transportation is not required, but is helpful.

Duration and Compensation
The internship is unpaid but can be completed for credit if needed. The intern is expected to establish regular hours, approximately 10-15 per week, though workload does fluctuate with the schedule of fundraising events. At the completion of 120 hours, the intern will be eligible to receive a letter of recommendation from an AIDS Network staff member. The intern is given the opportunity to participate in the planning meetings for all AIDS Network events.

This is an unpaid internship that can be completed for academic credit if desired.
